A Leadership Structure Built to Support Ideas and Empower Teams

Geoffrey Matwich isn’t one for the spotlight. With a background as an educator, he’s far more comfortable solving problems and is driven to empower and serve others.

That mindset has guided his success as a property manager, and it’s one he believes will deliver the greatest value in his new role as Vice President of Property Management.

“It always comes down to people,” says Matwich.

After spending nearly 20 years in hospitality managing large corporate hotels, the transition into managing commercial property portfolios at a locally owned firm has afforded him the opportunity to bring new ideas to the table.

“It’s been refreshing to be part of a company that prioritizes giving everyone a voice,” Matwich said. “That’s what I want to continue building. We have a strong foundation of talent, and this is an opportunity to tap into that.”

As the property management team continues to grow, Matwich sees an opportunity to strengthen how the team works together.

“My goal is to listen to our team and help turn their great ideas into reality,” he said.

With such a large and diverse company portfolio, Matwich also sees the expansion of the property management leadership team as a means of providing additional support.

“It’s hard to expect one person to have a feel for all the assets we manage. We have everything from schools to homeowner’s associations to office and industrial. By having a balanced leadership team, we can focus on supporting our property managers better, improving systems, processes and communication,” he said.

Matwich’s emphasis on listening, collaboration and support reflects the direction leadership envisions for the future of the property management team.

“Geoffrey leads with humility and a real commitment to supporting those around him. We’re excited about the role he’ll continue to play as our property management team grows and evolves,” said President Mike Simpson.

As the leadership team takes shape, that alignment is expected to strengthen collaboration internally while continuing to deliver strong service and partnership for our clients.
