NAI Ohio Equities Promotes From Within, Creates New Leadership Structure for Property Management

We are pleased to announce the promotions of Dave Wakeman and Devon Cotterman, who each have new roles as Vice President of Property Management for NAI Ohio Equities.

“Dave and Devon have long-tenured careers here at the company and have established a standard of excellence for the properties they serve. It was imperative to look at our talented group of people and to promote from within our organization,” said President Mike Simpson.

“We looked closely at our future goals and determined that it made a lot of sense for us to structure our leadership in a way that supports employee development, refined processes, and facilitates our evolution as the top provider in property management services,” he added.

Wakeman brings more than 25 years of knowledge and experience to his role, focusing on strategic business development and accelerating growth within property management. Managing a portfolio of over 1 million square feet of Class “A” commercial office and medical buildings in the Columbus area, he has a proven record of building strong relationships with vendors and clients.

“We are fortunate to have a dynamic property management team that will continue to provide the red-carpet service for which we are known, resulting in our satisfied clients. These are very exciting times for property management, and I could not be more thrilled to work with this outstanding team to create a seamless experience for growth and expansion,” said Wakeman.

Cotterman, who will oversee operations, has over 20 years of experience managing a portfolio of commercial office buildings, homeowners’ associations, and business park associations in the New Albany area. His ability to deliver results through his demonstrated leadership and management skills, as well as his background in building maintenance, will allow him to position the company for future growth by ensuring the delivery of best-in-class service while increasing efficiencies.

“I am ecstatic to take this new step in my career to focus on streamlining our approach to an industry we already excel in. My goals are to enhance our strengths in the marketplace, develop our team, improve efficiencies, create best practices, and build on more than 50 years of commercial real estate excellence,” said Cotterman.

“This is an exciting time for our Property Management Division and the opportunities that exist,” said Simpson.
