This past weekend we launched the latest iteration of our company website. It was the most comprehensive and collaborative review of our internet presence we’ve ever done. With that in mind, we wanted to take a look back at its evolution and what it represents about the future direction of NAI Ohio Equities.
The web has changed immensely since we launched our first fully featured website. In the 2000s, our website was heavily listings-focused. We had user bios and some basic information on services, along with your standard contact information. But without question, the goal of our website was to showcase our listings and our brokerage department.
In 2016, when we did the next major overhaul of the site, we pivoted to a much more services-oriented approach with the goal of explicitly detailing the breadth of our services through the addition of a blog and other forms of robust content. From a goal-oriented perspective, I feel like we achieved our goal, and for the late 2010s, we were pretty proud of our website.
In the 2020s, however, as societal attention spans shifted, and websites became more about showing and less about telling, our website began to feel more and more dense and heavy. We needed a modern website that more clearly conveyed who we are at our core. Because frankly, who we are and how we operate is what sets us apart from our competitors.
As a Columbus-based, family-owned brokerage, we’ve remained nimble and entrepreneurial in our representation and take exceptional pride in partnering with our clients and customize our services to each unique need. We have also had great success in Property Management, with more than 25 million square feet and 212 properties under management. And behind it all stand our people, who are the beating heart of our business.
Through this new design and improved functionality, we not only improved the user experience and illustrated in a compelling way what makes us unique, we placed our greatest asset front and center – our people.
Our new site blends our collaborative and innovative nature and our deep knowledge and expertise, with elegant, sophisticated style. It tells a story about our history and our connection to the region. And most importantly, it sets the tone for what you can expect when you work with us. Together, we’ll unlock what’s possible.
