April Closed Transactions
There was an uptick in activity in April with our brokerage closing 30 transactions equating to more than 238,000 square feet and 16+ acres.
The month’s largest transaction by volume was a new lease signed by the team of Matt Gregory, SIOR, CCIM, Philip Bird, SIOR and Mitchell Moore. They represented the owner of Worthington Gateway in leasing 6,096 square feet to Central Ohio Endodontics.
Retail performed well this month and accounted for 30% of the month’s activity. The largest retail transaction by volume was the sale of 301 Greene St. – Twin Ave. in Marietta, Ohio. Peter Griffith and Joe Menninger, CCIM represented the buyer in the purchase of the 10,000-square-foot freestanding building for $2.1 million.
Industrial transactions increased slightly over the previous month with the largest transaction by volume being 1660 Universal Road. Peter Griffith represented the owner in signing a new tenant for the 4,000-square-foot industrial property.
As the owner representative, Joe Menninger, CCIM sold 13 acres at 3515 E. Main St. in Whitehall for $2.5 million, making it the largest land deal by volume for the month. The site formerly housed Wirthman Brothers Junk Yard and was awarded a State of Ohio Brownfield Remediation Grant. The city of Whitehall is considering a proposal for redevelopment into a 316-unit affordable housing complex by LDG Development.
