HILLIARD LANDS TWO MORE TENANTS TO OCCUPY ONE MILL RUN BUILDING

Unwin Company and Paragon Technical Services, Inc to move into space this October

HILLIARD, OH— NAI Ohio Equities facilitated successful leases with two new tenants at the One Mill Run building in Hilliard that will bring the city closer to filling the space previously occupied by Nationwide Gates McDonald nearly three years ago. Unwin Company, an Ohio corporation and Paragon Technical Services, Inc. negotiated a lease with the help of NAI Ohio Equities Agent Matt Gregory, to move from their current offices located in Columbus to 3455 Mill Run in Hilliard by October 1, 2007.

Unwin Company, an Ohio corporation, was awarded a large, multi-year, technical services contract by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) in mid 2007.  Under the contract, Unwin Company will provide support to the DOE’s Office of Health, Safety and Security in the areas of security, emergency management, computer security, and environment, safety and health. In preparation for this government contract, Unwin Company will bring 25 new jobs to the Hilliard area as well as an additional 75 technical jobs that will be spread out across the country. 

Paragon Technical Services, Inc. is a New Mexico based corporation whose primary project management functions are located in Central Ohio.  Paragon currently employs five individuals in Columbus that perform contract services for the U.S. Department of Labor’s Department of Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation (DEEOIC). Currently there are 75 Paragon employees in 12 offices around the country supporting the DEEOIC’s objectives and initiatives.
Most commonly referred to as One Mill Run, the building is comprised of more than 100,000 square feet of office space. Unwin and Paragon will occupy a combined 10,259 square feet in the building over the next five years with five-year renewal options. 

Over the past nine months, NAI Ohio Equities Agent Matt Gregory worked closely with representatives from both companies helping to negotiate a lease that suited their unique needs as government contracted companies.
“It’s no secret that Hilliard, like many Central Ohio suburbs is a growing community,” Gregory said. “I spent the last nine months showing representatives from each company multiple office properties throughout Central Ohio and they ultimately liked Mill Run’s appeal and presence.”

Additionally as part of the relocation, both companies are working with the city of Hilliard towards an incentive package. Hilliard’s Economic Development Director, David Meeks is excited to see new tenants go into the area.  “For us it’s just nice to get that building leased out,” Meeks said.  “We’re slowly filling it up.”
