By late summer, Core Properties hopes to break ground on the 185-room property adding to the steady inventory of hotels and hallmarking the company’s presence in the lively airport market. |

Located off of Airport Drive in Columbus, the new Embassy Suites will take ground between a Staybridge Suites hotel and a Homewood Suites hotel; a Hilton property that accommodates extended stays. It hopes to be open for business near the end of 2008.
Simpson, an 18-year veteran of NAI Ohio Equities worked closely with Jeff Coopersmith, owner of Core Properties to sign the sale agreement. With its conception, the new property will join a family of Embassy Suites hotels in central Ohio with other hotels located at 2700 Corporate Exchange Drive in Columbus and 5100 Upper Metro Place in Dublin.
Operating as a full service hotel, the new Embassy Suites will reflect the Hilton’s newest prototype for the brand that includes a hotel restaurant, both living and bedroom areas, a bar, swimming pool, fitness center and more than 8,000 square feet of meeting space: the second largest of both its central Ohio counterparts.
